The articles in this websites are not express any hatred; we have felt sorry for a tragic war in the past. The fanatic patriotism and blind ideolism are abused for the conflict of two super powers in the last cold war. Vietnam was a hot spot, a pivotal point of that war. Unfortunately, the leaders of the North are people who got this credit.

They will burn all the Annamite mountain, will sacrify many millions young men (not their children!) and the thrive of this country to unify the territory in their tightly control. Today, this government ’s policies must be softer. It conceeds hundreds kilometres squares in the North and much more in the sea (in the near future), so VN can have time for the industrization (whether we have enough time? Poland didn’t have as it entered the wwII).

The regime will subdue any dissident, so a stable society can let its countrymen developing a higher intellectual level. What a patriotism it is!

History will judge a dysnasty on how successful it is on its contribution to its country. We can have different clothes, but only a body. A good clothes must make it warm in the cold weather and vice versa. Ho chi minh will earn a point for the August 1945 revolution, but fail for VN war, and whatever policies after 1975; however, his disciples can save him and his regime if they score better in this current period.

I think VN can not be a democratic country like most of western. There are foes that will overthrow and take control of our country. However, the recent policies in religion, freedom of talk seem going so far. We can not be a democratic country as it should be, but we should let the democracy flies. It seems that there is a difference in defining where is its limit!

Note: playing Risk II helps me understanding the strategy in many wars. There is no bloodshed, only the simulation of a software. It is not a smart program, but will be very challenge if there are 7 or 8 players. Try it!
There are many situations that make you understand more the current setting of South East Asia.
